Mississippi Sin Dip

Mississippi Sin Dip

The magic of this dip lies in its perfect combination of creamy, cheesy, and slightly spicy ingredients.

  • Total Time: 30 minute
  • Yield: 8-10 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Creamy Cheese Base:

  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped ham
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, chopped (optional)

Flavor Boosters:

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Serving Vessel:

  • 1 round loaf of sourdough or French bread

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This sets the perfect temperature for baking your dip.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well blended.
  3. Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture. Stir to ensure even distribution of the cheese.
  4. Fold in the chopped ham, green onions, and jalapeños (if using). These ingredients add incredible depth and texture to the dip.
  5. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well to incorporate all the flavors.
  6. Carefully cut a circle in the top of the bread loaf. Gently remove the inner bread, creating a bread bowl.
  7. Spoon the cheese mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl. Ensure it's evenly distributed.
  8. Replace the top of the bread or wrap the entire loaf in foil to prevent burning.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbling. The aroma will be absolutely irresistible.
