Spinach Dip

Spinach Dip

This spinach dip represents the perfect blend of convenience and flavor, offering a creamy, tangy experience that's sure to impress your guests.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Creamy Spinach Base:

  • 1 package (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 container (16 oz) sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix
  • 1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 round loaf Hawaiian bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by thawing the frozen spinach completely. Once thawed, use your hands or a clean kitchen towel to squeeze out every bit of excess moisture. This step is crucial for maintaining the perfect dip consistency.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the well-drained spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, and Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix. Whisk these ingredients together until they form a smooth, well-incorporated mixture.
  3. Carefully chop the water chestnuts into small, uniform pieces. Similarly, finely slice the green onions to ensure even distribution of flavors.
  4. Gently fold the chopped water chestnuts and green onions into the spinach mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight. This resting time allows the flavors to meld and intensify.
  6. When ready to serve, prepare the Hawaiian bread bowl. Carefully carve out the center of the bread, creating a beautiful serving vessel. Cut the removed bread into bite-sized pieces for dipping.
  7. Transfer the chilled spinach dip into the bread bowl. Arrange the bread pieces and additional dipping items around the bowl.
